Lindsay Stirling went popular because, apart from being a skillful violinist, she is also a graceful dancer. The world was captivated by her in 2010 when she performed on America's Got Talent. Her performance is considered one of the most favorite auditions in the competition.
Even though she did not win, her career reached new heights. Her first music video of her song "Spontaneous Me" went viral in 2011. This was followed by more music videos leading to her gaining millions and millions of views. Breaking records, YouTube proclaimed in 2012 that her video "Crystallize" was the No. 8 most viewed video of the year with over 42 million views. That same year, she released her self-titled debut album, which peaked at the top one on the Billboard Classical Albums and Dance/Electronic Albums chart. In 2014, her sophomore album, "Shatter Me," came out. It was another huge success, reaching the number two spot on Billboard 200.
She is also known for her amazing covers. With Pentatonix, she covered the song "Radioactive," which was a highly successful video that won her the YouTube Music Award for "Response of the Year."
